In recent days, we’ve seen White House officials and the man we’re supposed to call president, Joe Biden, threaten big tech platforms like Facebook and others with action if they don’t start censoring information about COVID-19 and coronavirus vaccines the regime doesn’t like.
Factual information about the vaccines and the effects they are having on thousands of people has been suppressed already, but that’s not good enough for the tyrants in the current administration.
Just last week, Biden claimed that Facebook was actually “killing people” by allowing users to post truthful information that calls into question aspects of the still-experimental vaccines as well as the provable lies “health experts” like Dr. Anthony Fauci have been telling throughout the pandemic.
In addition, White House press flak Jen Psaki admitted that the regime is ‘working with’ (i.e. forcing) Facebook to remove posts that are considered factual but may lead Americans to make up their own minds not to be vaccinated.
“We’ve increased disinformation research and tracking,” Press Secretary Jen Psaki told the media last week. “Within the Surgeon General’s Office, we’re flagging problematic posts for Facebook that spread disinformation. We’re working with doctors and medical professionals to connect medical experts with people, who are popular with their audiences with accurate information and boost trusted content. So, we’re helping get trusted content out there.”
“Helping get trusted content out there” sounds an awful lot like there is an “or else” attached to the end of it. Clearly, the regime’s announcement, which caught a lot of people off guard including Facebook, is nothing short of forcing social media companies to only allow ‘officially approved’ information.
Now, if the administration can do this with COVID data, what can we expect in terms of preventing honest, factual information about firearms and the Second Amendment?
In the course of White House press briefings, Second Amendment supporters got good news, but they also found themselves facing a much greater short-term danger. The good news is that Jen Psaki probably handed enough evidence to prove that Silicon Valley has been acting as a proxy for the federal government to pretty much ensure former President Trump will win his court case.
The bad news is that Surgeon General Vivek Murthy has upped the ante over the short term by claiming that “misinformation” about COVID-19 is “an imminent and insidious threat to our nation’s health.” Of course, Murthy has a prescription that includes “suggestions” for social media companies.
The site notes that in recent years, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was pushing the lie that gun violence is a national public health emergency; that is only true in certain high-crime enclaves run by Democrats including Chicago, Washington, D.C., St. Louis and, increasingly, New York City. Outside of those and a handful of other major cities, America doesn’t have a “gun-murder problem.”
Nevertheless, Ammoland notes that in that vein, and given the propensity for this current regime to lie about nearly everything, it isn’t much of a challenge to imagine that censoring real, factual data on gun crimes (showing that we don’t have a “problem” — especially in a country of hundreds of millions of guns and 330 million people) could be next.
“The big question is, of course, whether Murthy would declare activism for our Second Amendment rights as ‘misinformation’ if CDC goes back into the business of being propagandists for gun control. We can’t put that past them, especially given how Silicon Valley censorship has affected things already,” the site notes.
“Think about how CDC has suppressed information about the use of firearms for self-defense in the past,” Ammoland added.
Face it: Americans who love freedom and the Constitution are facing the biggest threat to both in the history of our country in the Biden regime.
